Alert: IOTA token migration

Development in IOTA has been plentiful and fast this year.

The biggest development has been the lead-up to the release of IOTA’s largest network upgrade to date, Chrysalis.

Well, overnight that upgrade took place and was successfully completed. You can read about the success of the migration to Chrysalis here.

We waited to release information on this to you and what happens next as we needed to make sure the upgrade was successful before letting you know what’s to come.

The good news is everything was fine and we’re good to take the next steps.

It also means the next steps aren’t hard or challenging and really there’s not a great deal to do.

The only impact you’ll note is if you’re keeping your IOTA tokens on a Trinity Wallet or on your Ledger through the Trinity Wallet.

As part of the network upgrade, the Trinity Wallet is being discontinued and the new wallet, Firefly, is ready to go.

If you’re holding your IOTA on an exchange like Binance or Bitpanda, there’s nothing you need to do.

If you were using Trinity, then IOTA’s blog has all the information that you need, step-by-step, to make the migration to Firefly and store your IOTA on the new wallet.

While there hasn’t been a deadline for this migration, it’s best to action it now, with the network upgrade complete and the network now pressing ahead.
