2017 has been an incredible year in the technology sector.

We have seen everything from genetic sequencing to immune-oncology, self-driving cars to wearable technology. We’ve gone from exploring space to venturing into the bowels of the earth for geothermal energy.

Now, it’s time to look ahead.

In the next 12 months, there are going to be a lot of exciting developments in our portfolio that are predictable in advance and we can put in the calendar right away.

These are big events in the trajectory of development I’ve been expecting and importantly they could have major consequences for a number of positions in the portfolio.

In today’s issue, I look at what 2018 could have in store for our major investment areas, from the green rush, through to bitcoin, autonomous ships and CRISPR-Cas9.
