In this month’s issue of Cycles, Trends and Forecasts, your humble editor has to make a confession.
Well, a half confession. Sort of.
I might have been wrong. Or nearly right, depending on how you look at it.
See, the shockwaves sent through the financial market by the news of negative oil prices was just the latest sign that in some cases, global economic activity has not only slowed… it’s virtually stopped altogether.
The word “unprecedented” gets thrown around a lot, but negative oil prices? That really is new.
And the repercussions could be equally unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
