This is the idea of the technological conditions/environment being exactly right for new technologies to explode on to the market.

Think the iPhone or Google. These companies both benefited from technological convergence, a time when everything comes together, providing a catalyst for explosive growth.

I break this issue down into what I believe are the most crucial technologies right now and plot how close they are to this catalytic event.

As always, it’s the first movers that reap the biggest rewards. So don’t let yourself fall by the wayside.
