Urgent: new update on Meggitt sale + IOTA Ledger update

Last week we noted that Meggitt had recommended a takeover from Parker-Hannifin.

That was recommended at 800GBp per share.

It was also a deal which we thought was pretty good and you should accept. You can see that update here.

Well, things just got a little more exciting!

Another bidder for Meggitt has entered the fray, TransDigm Group.

This offer was announced yesterday and is preliminary and unsolicited, but it could be as high as 900GBp per share.

What this means is that right now the best thing to do with your Meggitt stock is nothing at all.

We retract our recommendation to accept the 800GBp bid, obviously, as it’s possible a better deal may be coming in.

So, for now, just sit tight, let’s see if a bidding war ensues and what firm deals hit the table.

The stock has jumped (understandably) on this news. We’ll keep you updated – and, if there’s any further action to take, we’ll let you know.

IOTA Ledger integration update

After a long wait, a fair bit of anxiety and a lot of questions, IOTA has finally updated Firefly for Ledger integration.

The latest version of the Firefly wallet, Firefly 1.2.0, was introduced on 5 August 2021.

This update is crucial as it now supports both versions of the Ledger Nano hardware wallet, Nano X and Nano S.

Ledger users can seamlessly migrate their tokens to the new Chrysalis network.

To do so, all you have to do is plug in your Ledger Nano USB device, open Firefly, and follow the steps to migrate your tokens.

You can find the blog post, the information about it and steps to take in IOTA’s official blog and announcement here.

New recommendation later today!

Finally, we wanted to get this urgent update to you now, as it’s all-important information. But we also want to let you know that a brand-new stock recommendation is set to hit your inbox later this afternoon, after the market close.

Keep an eye out for it, as it’s a cracker and we don’t want you to miss it.
