URGENT! Stop using Coinbase

We’ve just been made aware that Coinbase is experiencing a major problem where there are, “unexpected credit or debit card charges appearing on their statements from previous Coinbase purchases.”

From what we understand it is only related to multiple charges for previous purchases.

At this point in time we advise you to stop using Coinbase until further notice.

We understand Coinbase is already refunding customers and trying to determine the problem.

After reviewing the information available it seems limited to the US, the Scotiabank in Canada and Croatia. However, you should also check any linked accounts you have with Coinbase to ensure you haven’t suffered any unexpected transactions.

If you have suffered any problem or unexpected transaction please report them to Coinbase support on its website, lodging a support ticket and then providing details through this Reddit thread as instructed by Coinbase support.

We will notify you once we believe it is okay to use Coinbase again.
