At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas over the New Year there were more drones than you could shake a stick at and more than 20 versions of various wearable devices. Wearables – primarily fitness devices and smartwatches – are quickly becoming must-have accessories for a technologically integrated and health conscious lifestyle. With such rich pickings it’s a highly competitive market, and there are clear winners and losers even as the market expands at a rapid pace.
